How to correctly add salt to softened water equipment to maintain resin circulation and regeneration?

Softened Water Treatment Equipment mainly uses Ion Exchange Resin to remove hardness ions such as calcium and magnesium in the water. When the ion exchange Resin is saturated, it needs to be regenerated. At this time, the salt in the salt box is regenerated. However, some customers do not know much about the correct method of adding salt to softened water equipment. In this article, the editor will introduce to you the correct method of adding salt to softened water equipment.

The correct method of adding salt to softened water equipment is as follows:
1. The amount of salt added is the amount of resin (L) multiplied by 0.24Kg, which is the amount of salt used;
2. The time for adding salt should be consistent with the resin regeneration cycle;
3. It is strictly prohibited to use industrial salt and iodized salt. Iodine has strong penetrating power on the surface of resin particles. Long-term use of iodized salt will reduce the surface strength, hardness, mechanical strength, volume expansion strength, and circular curvature of the resin. Easily broken, the exchange capacity of the resin is reduced (referring to strong acid resin);
4. It is recommended that you put the salt into a pure cotton bag, tie it up, and put it in the Brine Tank, which can effectively prevent the pollution of the salt box and blockage of the salt absorption system caused by insoluble particles;
5. The water level of the salt box after adding salt should not be lower than 2/3.
