Basic operating steps for mixed bed operation

1. Washing
Start the intermediate water pump, open the mixed bed water inlet valve and exhaust valve, and flow water from top to bottom. When the water flow reaches the equipment, close the exhaust valve and open the lower exhaust valve to stabilize its normal water production flow. The working flow rate is 35m/h, and the water outlet If the lead is ≤0.2μs/cm, it will switch to water production.
2. Water production
Open the mixed bed water outlet valve, close the lower discharge valve, and stabilize the water production to the specified set value until the water production cycle ends.
3. Regeneration
(1) Backwash pre-stratification: Open the backwash water inlet valve and the upper discharge valve, and perform backwash stratification at a flow rate of 10m/h, or keep the Resin in a fully flowing state so that the normal particle resin is not flushed out by the water flow. It is advisable to control the backwash flow until the end point of backwash is when the anin and cation resins are basically stratified.
(2) Failure: Open the alkali regeneration water dilution valve, alkali metering box outlet valve, mixed bed alkali inlet valve and lower discharge valve, start the regeneration pump, the flow rate is preferably controlled at 5m/h, the time is 5 minutes, and the regeneration water temperature is 40~ 50℃.
Note: (1) and (2) are only used when the Mixed Bed Resin has been used for a long time and is seriously polluted and the layers are unclear.
(3) Backwash stratification: Open the backwash water inlet valve and the upper discharge valve, and perform backwash stratification at a flow rate of 10m/h. The backwash flow rate or flow rate is the same as the backwash pre-stratification. The backwash end point is Yin and Yang. Until the resin junction is completely stratified, the water inlet valve should be slowly closed at the end of backwashing to allow the resin particles to gradually settle to achieve the best stratification effect.
(4) Settlement: Close the backwash inlet valve and upper discharge valve, open the exhaust valve and lower discharge valve, so that the expanded resin after backwashing will settle naturally and evenly, and the liquid level in the container will drop to 200mm above the resin level.

(5) Regenerant addition: Use the synchronous regeneration method, open the regeneration system regeneration water dilution valve, acid and alkali metering box outlet valve, mixed bed acid and alkali inlet valve, middle discharge valve, start the regeneration pump, acid and alkali regeneration flow will be even. 5m/h is appropriate, and the regeneration time is determined according to actual needs. The temperature of the regeneration water for alkali injection should be heated to 40-45°C to achieve better regeneration effects.

(6) Replacement: Close the acid outlet valve and alkali outlet valve of the metering box, and perform replacement cleaning at the same working flow rate as the regenerant injection. The time will be 20 minutes or determined when the medium discharge water indicator reaches the set indicator.

4. Mix
(1) Drainage
Open the exhaust valve and lower drain valve, and confirm that the accumulated water in the container is drained to a position 200mm above the resin layer, so that the resin layer has sufficient space for movement.
(2) Mix
Open the upper exhaust valve, exhaust valve, and air inlet valve. The air inlet pressure is generally controlled at 0.1~0.15MPa and the mixing time is 2 minutes, or determined based on the standard for the two Ion Exchange Resin in the container to be fully mixed.
(3) Drainage
Open the lower drain valve; drain the water level in the container below the resin level. At the end, drain the water as quickly as possible to promote the resin to sink quickly to prevent the resin from re-separating during the settling process, causing incomplete mixing. However, at the same time, attention should be paid to preventing the resin from re-separating during the settling process. layer dehydration.
5. Washing
Start the intermediate water pump, open the mixed bed water inlet valve, close the backwash discharge valve and the lower discharge valve. When the water flow fills the equipment, close the exhaust valve, open the lower discharge valve, and use the water production flow as the positive wash flow (some changes in flow will also No problem), enter the normal washing mode until the outlet water conductivity is <0.2μs/cm. The equipment then switches to normal water production working condition or standby state.
